Island of Anguilla



The wonderful Island of Anguilla, is one of the British Overseas Territories.

It is located in the Caribbean, specifically in the extreme north of the Barlovento Islands, in the Lesser Antilles. It has maritime borders with the island of San Martín, which is part of the French department of Guadalupe to the southeast. To the west is the British Virgin Islands.

The entire population of the archipelago is concentrated on the main island of Anguilla. The official language of Anguilla is English.

The beach options are endless: Rendezvous Bay, Ensenada Bay and Mead Bay where there are signs with long curved strands of sand.

Tourists go to Anguilla for the natural beauty and tranquil environment, the 33 white sand beaches, the art galleries, and the varied historical and cultural options.


Shoal Bay East is undoubtedly the most popular beach on the island, while Scrub Island, the Tuna and the island of dogs are excellent diving destinations.

Art lovers can enjoy a tour of the 16 galleries of Anguilla, where they will find a mixture of local and Caribbean crafts, highlighting wood carving, hand-blown glass and works of art.

In May, there are seven regattas in three days. The Carnival in August is highly appreciated for the parades, the calypso competitions and the traditional races on wooden boats.



In November is the Great Jazz Festival that features the presentation of regional and international musicians.
